La pillola del giorno dopo è un contraccettivo di emergenza molto sicuro ed efficace che può essere assunto già subito dopo il rapporto sessuale non protetto entro 72 ore in caso di Levonorgestrel o entro 5 giorni in caso di Ulipristal acetato, disponibili in farmacia senza necessità di prescrizione medica.
PILLOLE E PRESERVATIVI ANTICONCEZIONALI
La pillola è efficace al 99%, quando assunta correttamente secondo foglio illustrativo. nonostante ciò, non è però protettiva nei confronti delle malattie sessualmente trasmissibili. Secondo le società scientifiche utilizzare il preservativo in associazione alla pillola previene la trasmisione di malattie sessuali ed evita l’insorgenza di gravidanze indesiderate.
IUD E IMPIANTO
La IUD (Intrauterin Dispositive) e l’impianto appartengono alla classe dei LARC (Long Acting Reversible Contraception).
